ArONL Announces Nurse Leader Scholarship!

ArONL is proud to announce the formation of the Nurse Leader Scholarship, which will assist eligible candidates to participate in continuing education and/or professional development activities. Applications may be submitted beginning January 2020 and will be awarded quarterly.

ArONL Welcomes Susan Musgrove and Katie Lea to the Board of Directors

SUSAN MUSGROVE is a master prepared Registered Nurse with over 35 years of cardiovascular and critical care experience. She currently serves as the Director of CSICU at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Susan also serves as the DAISY Champion, assisted with implementation of The Pause concept, developed a Zen Room to combat compassion fatigue and nurse burnout, and is representing the nursing division as Baxter Regional strives to build their first simulation lab. Susan is very involved in the Versant Residency program and welcomes new and seasoned nurses alike to her specialty area.
In her personal time, Susan enjoys fishing, cross stitch, and travel. She is looking forward to a trip to Italy in the fall of 2020.
KATIE LEA joined Saline Memorial Health System as their Chief Nursing Officer in 2018. Katie has over twenty-five years of nursing leadership experience in various healthcare settings that extend through the continuum of care.
Her clinical background includes adult and pediatric critical care, emergency services, and home health. Katie is a servant leader and has a passion for empowering nurses and engaging patients and families in care delivery.
In her community of Benton, she serves on the board for Camp Aldersgate and the Christian Community Care Clinic. She is active in the American Heart Association and as a heart survivor uses her voice to help educate others.
